n-Butyl Stearate designed as a fatty acid ester Liquid colourless, waxy solid, odourless or with a faintly fatty odour. Butyl octadecanoate is a fatty acid ester that is the butyl ester of fatty acid. It has a role as an algal metabolite. It derives from an octadecanoic acid. It has excellent internal and initial lubricant application, good dispersibility and heat resistance, and better lubricating effect when used together with fatty acid.

This product is Soluble in most organic solvents (acetone, benzene, chloroform, wax, vegetable oil and mineral oil), slightly soluble in glycerin, ethylene glycol, methanol and some amines.
This product is commonly used in polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene and other lubricants. It’s suitable for transparent products, also can be used as plasticizer, film moulding agent, Leather Polish, Paints, Textile, Rubber, Concrete moisture roofing (waterproofing) agent, , Deep Defoamer (Anti-Foaming), as a binder in cosmetics like soaps, shampoos and shaving creams, skin conditioners and surfactants for cosmetic (Skin Care) formulations, eye makeup, lipstick etc.
